Terms of service
Terms of Service
Overview
Welcome to Ancestral Native.
These Terms of Service apply to your use of the Ancestral Native website and online store, including browsing our website and purchasing our products.
By using our website or placing an order, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy.
If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use our website or place an order.
1. Our Products
We take care to accurately represent our products, including their materials, dimensions, finishes and colours.
Te Papatohu Maramataka is handcrafted from natural timber. Because each taonga is individually made and finished, natural variations in timber grain, colour, texture and finish may occur. No two pieces will be exactly the same.
These natural variations are a characteristic of the material and form part of the individuality of each taonga.
Colours may also appear slightly different depending on your device or screen settings.
We reserve the right to update product descriptions, discontinue products and limit quantities where necessary.
2. Orders
When you place an order through our website, you are making an offer to purchase the products in your order.
We reserve the right to decline or cancel an order in circumstances including where a product is unavailable, there has been an obvious pricing or product description error, or we reasonably believe an order has been placed fraudulently.
If we cancel an order after payment has been received, we will refund the amount paid.
Please check your order carefully before completing your purchase.
3. Pricing and Payment
All prices displayed on our website are in New Zealand dollars and include GST where applicable.
We reserve the right to change prices, promotions and product availability at any time. The price applicable to your order will be the price displayed at the time you place your order.
Payment must be successfully received before your order is processed.
4. Shipping and Delivery
We take care when packaging your taonga for its journey to you.
Delivery timeframes provided on our website or at checkout are estimates and may vary due to circumstances outside our control, including courier delays, weather or other unforeseen events.
Where an order does not arrive within a reasonable timeframe or is lost or damaged in transit, please contact us at ancestralnative@gmail.com so we can assist.
5. Returns and Refunds
Because Te Papatohu Maramataka is handcrafted in limited quantities, we do not accept returns or provide refunds for change of mind.
For damaged, faulty or incorrect orders, please refer to our Returns and Refunds Policy.
Nothing in these Terms limits your rights under the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or other applicable consumer protection laws.

11. Reviews and Feedback
If you choose to provide us with a review, testimonial, photograph, comment or other feedback about your experience with Ancestral Native, please ensure that you have the right to provide that content.
By submitting feedback to us, you give Ancestral Native permission to use, reproduce and display that feedback for the purposes of operating and promoting our business, unless you ask us not to do so.
We will not knowingly use your feedback in a misleading way or imply an endorsement that you have not given.
12. Errors and Changes
Occasionally our website may contain typographical errors, inaccuracies or omissions relating to product descriptions, pricing, availability, shipping or other information.
We reserve the right to correct errors and update information where necessary.
If an obvious error has affected an order and we are unable to fulfil the order at the displayed price or terms, we will contact you and provide an appropriate resolution.
13. Our Liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded under New Zealand law, including rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 and Fair Trading Act 1986.
To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for losses arising from circumstances outside our reasonable control.
14. Changes to These Terms

Any disputes will be dealt with in accordance with applicable New Zealand law.
