Description
Te Papatohu Maramataka in Kawhe (600mm) is part of our NUI Range.
A handcrafted wooden Maramataka created to become a lasting taonga within your whānau.
Designed to be lived with daily, it supports the intergenerational transmission of mātauranga Maramataka through the rhythms of eeling, fishing, planting, and rest. Its larger format is made for shared spaces, inviting tamariki, mokopuna, and whānau to gather around it and let the Maramataka become part of everyday life.
That's where the real learning happens.
Because every piece is finished by hand, the stain absorbs differently into the timber, making each taonga uniquely its own.
(Please note our nui collection does not come with a keepsake box like our founding release te papatohu maramataka taonga)
